Rooftop Solar Systems – 3 years’ service checklist.

The items that are covered during the 3 years’ service checklist are:

• Tank & collectors (panels) are flushed to remove any residual build up
• External visual inspection
• Check mounting brackets
• Ensure that there are no leaks
• Check for any other physical issues
• Check electrical booster (thermostat and element)
• Check gas booster
• Check anode and replace it if required*
• Replace the hot water safety valve
• Replace the cold water valve
• Water testing report on the current home water quality

*Replacement of parts involve additional cost.

Power Direct System – 3 years’ service checklist.

Please note that the Power Direct system requires very low maintenance but due to the fact that the sacrificial anode in the cylinder will dissipate as you use it, it is recommended to check it every 3 years. The 3 years’ service checklist includes:

• Cylinder & panels are flushed to remove any residual build up
  • External visual inspection
  • Ensure there are no leaks
  • Check for any other physical issues
• Check electrical booster (thermostat and element)
• Check gas booster
• Check anode and replace it if required to prolong the life of the cylinder*
• Replace the hot water safety valve
• Replace the cold water valve
• Water testing report on the current home water quality
